• Fixed: Due to the hurried release of the portable version, the software registration subsystem was not portable yet in the first release yesterday, now we've fixed it already, please download it again. Aug 19th, 2008, MindVisualiser V3.5.4.927 is now portable

What's New:

• Portable Version. Now you can run MindVisualizer from a USB drive.
• Default font. Each time you select a font typeface it will be used as the default font for new topics added lately, this will be a real time saver.
• Import from text file. Now you can import from text files without having to create a map first, and can have the first line become the center topic.
• Software updating. The software updating process has been enhanced, now the program will be shutdown automatically before updating and will be started when finished updating.
  
• Fixed:
  • CHM help file does not support full-text-search.
  • Sometimes the topic's notes editor exceeds the boundaries of the screen and cannot be moved anymore.
  • Avoid the the user dragging the toolbars from inside the notes editor to the main window, thus avoid causing the notes editor become not working properly.

JUN 4th, 2008, MindVisualiser Standard V3.0 is released!

What's New:

• 4 new export formats: PDF, Microsoft Excel and OpenOffice document and spreadsheet.
• Complete rewritten printing functions:
  • Now you can split large maps into smaller pages.
    
  • New outlined list printing.
    
  • No more error message.
• Topic auto word wrap, avoid long text topics.
• Now the notes, hyperlinks and attachment icons are more obvious as they will be shown inside the topic box.

Enhancements:

• Now the corresponding icon of the default hyperlink is shown inside the topic box. For example if you default hyperlink is a word document than the icon for a .doc file is displayed as the hyperlink icon.

• Previous versions do not support exporting to MS Word version older than 2003, now MindVisualizer supports export to Microsoft Office Word 2000.
• Trail period limitation is now specific to software version, that means you can always try the new release of MindVisualizer.
• When export to liner formats (MS Word, RTF, plain text, HTML), hard carriage returns are now removed for wrapped topics, so the exported lines will not be broken anymore, resulting in the output documents will be more readable.
• Context menus will always pop up when you right-click on the image or icons of a topic even that topic is not highlighted, this further reduce steps needed for frequently used tasks.
• Hand tool which allows you pan the map with the mouse dragging easily.

Feb.. 2 2008, MindVisualizer Standard 2.7.3 is released.

New Topic Attachment support:

• Now you can attach any type of existing files (Such as Microsoft Office documents, image files, text files or MindVisualizer mind map, and so on) to a topic as attachments;
• You can also create common documents on the fly within MindVisuaizer;
• The associated icon of the attachment is shown in the Attachment window;
  
• All attachments can be edited with the associated program and the changes can be loaded back into MindVisualizer;
  
• In the Add Attachment window, a pull down menu is provided for easily access the Most Recently Used files.

New Supper drag-and-drop support:

• Drag and drop any Microsoft outlook items (including email, task, contacts, etc) into the active mind map as hyperlinks. New subtopics can be created if Ctrl is pressed;
  
• Drag and drop files in the Explorer into the active mind map as Hyperlinks or Attachments if Shift is pressed. New subtopics can be created if Ctrl is pressed;
  
• Drag and drop URL in the web browsers into the active mind map as hyperlinks. New subtopics can be created if Ctrl is pressed;
  
• Drag and dro text in other programs into the active mind map as the current topic's caption or create new subtopics for each text line if Ctrl is pressed;
  
• If you drag and drop on the blank area of the map, floating topics will be created;
